Well, I would hope you saved the world in Pulp -- that, at least, would justify blowing off my "I'm in town" party a couple weeks ago.

Out of curiosity, what pad did you get? I have been bitten by the DDR bug as well, but since I own no consoles, I found a wonderful little PC program called Dance With Intensity. Until my pad (BNS Ultra-NX) arrives in a week, I am currently kicking ass while using the keyboard, but I suppose that's cheating. :)

It's not a bad excuse. Sorry, I missed your party, but... I was saving the world.

I'll check on the identity of the pad. It was $30, I think. Seems okay so far.

It appears to be a MadCatz Beat Pad. Three days later, it hasn't broken yet.

The bug is even worse than you may think. We got not just the DDR pad, but the whole PS2 system. Thinking back, this is my first game system since the Atari 2600.
Where are all the blocks and squares!? I can make no sense of the 'lifelike' images on the screen.

wow, that's pretty bad!!! haha

i've screwed my pad down to 5/8" MDF, it helps a lot with the sliding around business. i highly recommend it.

5/8" what what?

MDF??? And if you're screwing your pad, where do you, uh, screw it? I mean, how do you know there aren't wires and stuff? (Being a girl, I kinda think anything you screw should already have a hole there, you know?)

medium density fiberboard

you lay the DDR pad on the fiberboard, then drive 1/4" screws in around the perimeter. lots of them, so that the pad can't bunch up when you use it. make sure the pad is pulled as tight as possible as you screw it into the MDF. near the edge there's no wires.

and you ma'am, have a dirty mind.
