It's the economy, stupid. @ 05:18 pm

US Census figures show that the number of people below the poverty line increased by 1.3 million in 2003. Ditto for the uninsured. This is the third straight annual increase.
In related news, ten Nobel Laureate economists have endorsed Kerry, charging the Bush Administration with "fiscal irresponsibility [that] threatens the long-term economic security and prosperity of our nation."

In other news, the top campaign issue seems to center on whether Kerry bled enough to deserve his Purple Hearts in Vietnam while carrying out a hazardous assignment that he volunteered for in a war he volunteered for.

I find it disgusting that people who back the fellow who weaseled out of the Vietnam War are questioning the merit of the fellow who volunteered, served well (if you listen to the people who actually served with him), and was wounded several times. I mean, what injuries did Bush suffer? Did he cut himself shaving?

He got TWO cavities during Vietnam. TWO more holes in his head. He's got more, I'm sure. ;)

Wow, how that man has suffered.

I read in the paper today that Dick Cheney is "Tired of re-fighting the Vietnam War." Um, hello? He didn't fight in the Vietnam War. He dodged out of WWII and Korea, too.

Oh, dear heavens! I just discovered who you are. Remember me? No, you wouldn't. It's been ages. My ex-husband and I owned Dead Earth Productions. I think I wrote at least one article for your magazine on LARPing. Ha! Wow. Small world. Say hi to Gordon for me, will you? :)

Haha, I had almost an identical experience! I wrote something for Metagame years ago and then randomly discovered sjo through the LJ community darksideofebay.

I remember you! Way cool!

It is a small world, isn't it? And birds of a feather occupy the same gutter, or something. :-)

Let's see if I have a clue at all... are you still living on the West Coast? Still doing LARP? How ARE you?
