What the world needs now... @ 01:17 pm

Too much news today displays a lack of love...

That errant satellite will get no loving embrace from the atmosphere; instead, it will be blown up by missile.

A witch in Saudi Arabia received no love from the judicial system; instead, she will be executed.

The story of the love of one male penguin for another male penguin gets no love from the school district; instead, it will be banned.

The goddess of love gets no love from the Tube; instead, she is banned.

Disneyland's House of the Future was a Shag-a-riffic pad, with futuristic conveniences like an oven that heats food through the use of microwaves (an invisible band of the electromagnetic spectrum with wavelengths shorter than radio waves), or a bigger-than-life television set so thin it hardly takes up any space. But the House got no love, having been demolished in 1967. Instead, Disney has announced a new House of the Future that "will look like a suburban tract home." Um. Yay?

Re: House of the Future

Its oddities included handsfree phones, wall-sized televisions and electric razors.

Now that's just crazy talk! Lol!

Re: House of the Future

No kiddin'. Lots more photos and design drawings here.

Somehow, this picture suggests to me that Mrs. Robinson probably enjoyed a few Valiums & scotches in her House of the Future.
