Good Playa Del Rey Estate Sale - Books & Graphic Novels @ 10:11 am

Tags: ,

Spotted the notice on craigslist. Not far from the Crosbys (Crosbies?). Oodles of books crammed into the apartment, sadly shelved 2 or 3 deep so it's hard to really see what's there. Tons of graphic novels.
Stuff I saw: lots of Stephen King, Jim Butcher, Joe Lansdale, Gaiman, Zelazny, Heinlein, Asimov, mysteries, african american-related.
Graphic novels: I wouldn't know what's what, but I saw the Watchmen book, a fistful of Transmetropolitans and honestly a shitload of others.
There were also a few toys collectibles, some of which I understand will be part of a cactus diorama in the backyard soon.
My big score was a signed Joe Lansdale from Subterranean Press.

One toy collectible may not make it into the outdoors, since it has its own flickr set.

Sleuthing away - might as well show my work

Apparently one of 50 Sketchbots modified by 50 different artists for a show in NYC. The preview has a shot of this one, and another post that links to the flickr set.

Given the prices he was apparently selling stuff for at comicon (per his website at http://www.drils.com/) maybe you should contact him and send this piece back to him in return for a piece that wasn't part of a special series (and, if it's significant for him, maybe he'd do one that's custom for the Goth Garden...)

You know, it's probably a very good thing that I can't get anywhere near that sale...

But just think of all the great stuff you'll find to bring back from England: Beefeater hats, tea cosies and crown jewels. Oh, and there's a reason why Tetley's is known for tea and not beer.

The Shadows, Kith, and Kin

Sorry I missed you at the HPLFF. It's crazy how many people I knew there (and not because the only people who bought tickets were Aaron's friends!)
