The New Centurions

Apropos of almost nothing, Dr. Pookie and I were pleasantly surprised by this 1972 film adaptation of Wambaugh's novel of, what else, cops in LA. George C. Scott, Stacy Keach, and a young pre-CHIPS Erik Estrada. Another 'find' from LA Plays Itself. So far the winner 'finds' have been Crimson Kimono, The New Centurions, and Rod Steiger's pitch-perfect Mr. Joyboy in The Loved One:
