Laguna Beach is a victim of its own popularity, so I angled for a quieter spot than the main beach. We started at Crescent Bay Point Park.

It's a popular wedding spot, and one was assembling when we arrived, so we didn't have the full run of the place. Although it was tempting to huck Grandma over the cliff...

...there were enough tide pool enthusiasts below that we didn't want to risk hitting anyone. But it's a short walk to Crescent Bay itself.

We made it past the lifeguard without arousing too much suspicion, found a fairly secluded spot, said our goodbyes, and consigned her to the bosom of the ocean.
